Christmas may now be over, but you still have a little bit of time before you will need to get rid of your tree if you want the city’s help.

The City of Battle Creek says that their curbside pickup program for fresh Christmas trees began on Tuesday, and will run through February 2. Residents of the city will be able to put out the tree on their curb on their normal trash pickup day, and Waste Management will haul it away; citizens are asked to make sure all decorations are removed.

Battle Creek also wants to remind residents that for the weeks of December 25 and January 1, trash pickup is delayed by one day due to the holidays; for example, if your normal pickup day is Monday, it would instead be Tuesday, and so on.
