Battle Creek authorities are looking for suspects in a shooting that started a chain of events that left two women injured.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that around 3:30am Sunday, shots were fired at the Bent Tree Apartments in the first block of Laura Ln. A van was seen fleeing the scene, and in the process of driving away the van allegedly hit two Battle Creek women.

The van was stopped by police, and was riddled with bullet holes, although the three Grand Rapids men inside were uninjured. Authorities believe that the shooting was the result of an argument at a party, and no arrests have been made as of yet.

The two women that were hit by the van were taken to the hospital, one with minor injuries, while the second was taken to Bronson Kalamazoo with a back injury.

It’s unclear if the driver of the van will face charges. If you have any information about this shooting, please contact police or Silent Observer.
