Warrant issued in Monday’s shooting death in Battle Creek
Two people are being named in Monday's fatal shooting on Capital Ave NE in Battle Creek and police are seeking the public's help in locating them.
A warrant was issued Monday afternoon for Randale Lawrence Benjamin, a 33 year old Battle Creek man, for Open Murder, weapons violations and being an habitual violent offender. He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone seeing him is asked to call 911 immediately. Benjamin is described as a 6'02" 230 lb black man with a stocky build, shorter black hair, brown eyes, and unknown clothing. He has an alias name of Randale Reed.
A person of interest being sought for questioning, but no charges have been issued, is Brittany Marie Nash, a 29 year old Battle Creek woman. She is described as a 5'06" 125 lb white woman with a thin build and longer, straight, brown hair and brown eyes.
Nash and Benjamin are believed to be together at this time. No vehicles are known and their exact location is also unknown. No charges have been issued on Nash and she is only wanted for questioning.
Anyone with information on them is asked to call police or silent observer. If you see or have contact with them, call 911 immediately as Benjamin is considered armed and dangerous.
