A large amount of damage was done to a home in Battle Creek after a fire Tuesday evening.

The Battle Creek Fire Department says that they responded to the 100 block of Pheasant Run around 5:40pm Tuesday, after a house fire was reported. The house was found unnocupied, and crew entered to put the blaze out. Initial information shows that the fire might have started in the attic, but the Fire Marshal will investigate to determine the exact cause.

The blaze caused around $80,000 in damage, and no one was injured.
