A 36 year old Battle Creek man was arrested after a woman said he raped her. Battle Creek police were called to Bronson Battle Creek just before midnight on Friday after the woman and her boyfriend arrived at the hospital and reported the assault, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer. The woman said she had gone to a house in the 200 block of Laurel Drive to visit the suspect. She told officers the man told her the methamphetamine she used was not free before sexually assaulting her. Police obtained a search warrant for the home and arrested the suspect on an unrelated warrant. The man claims the sex was consensual.
