A free full day summer pre-kindergarten program is now being offered by the Battle Creek Public Schools.

The district says that the ROAR into Kindergarten program starts July 10, and runs from 8am to 4pm 5 days a week through August 11. BCPS says that study’s show a Pre-K education can be extremely beneficial to a student throughout their time in school, which is why this is one of the first programs to be rolled out through the $51 million grant they received from the Battle Creek-based WK Kellogg Foundation.

The program provides free transportation, school supplies, snacks and meals, and all kids who are scheduled to start kindergarten in the BCPS system this fall are eligible to join.
