The City of Battle Creek is asking for the public to provide input on possible medical marijuana ordinances.

Throughout October, an online survey is being circulated by the City on whether or not Battle Creek should allow the growing, processing, distributing and selling of medical marijuana within city limits.

Starting December 15, the State of Michigan will begin allowing businesses of those types and more to get licenses to conduct business, and it’s up to individual municipalities to decide whether they want those businesses around. The Battle Creek City Commission has yet to take a vote; the city has put together a Frequently Asked Questions website, in order to inform citizens.
