Reports of a vehicle break-in in Battle Creek early Friday morning led to two teens being arrested.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that early September 1, officers were called to the 100 block of Lathrop Ave, to find two teens fleeing the scene. The teens were caught and arrested, and the stolen property was recovered.

The 14-year-old teen was taken to the Calhoun County Juvenile Home, while the 17-year-old was taken to the Calhoun County Jail. Both will be charged with resisting arrest, and larceny from a vehicle.

The BCPD wants to remind residents to lock their vehicles when they leave them overnight.
