Battle Creek Police officers responded to the C-Store at the corner of Columbia Ave. and 20th St, where the suspect vehicle was located; at the scene, police found a 31-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, along with stolen property.

When the owner of a company redeveloping downtown Battle Creek told police he had been robbed and shot at, authorities brought out their police dogs and investigators in order to track down their suspect. Now, authorities say the incident never happened.
The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says that around 3:00 a.m. October 14, deputies were called to M-66 Bowl in Pennfield after the alarm went off; a vehicle was located fleeing the scene shortly afterwards, and inside, two Battle Creek men aged 31 and 49-years-old were arrested for burglary.
