Battle Creek Woman Arrested For Boyfriend’s Stabbing
A Battle Creek woman has been arrested after she allegedly cut her boyfriend with a knife.
The Battle Creek Enquirer says police were called to a home in the first block of Cliff St. just before 8pm Sunday; there, a 37-year-old woman had gone to a nearby home and said that she had been slapped by her boyfriend. She had blood on her shirt, which she said was from a nosebleed. The woman appeared intoxicated, police say, and officers took her to her home where they spoke with her boyfriend.
The 43-year-old man, who had cuts on his hands, wrist, and shoulder, said that the they been arguing when he was slapped and had his hair pulled by his girlfriend; she then grabbed a knife and started swinging at him.
The boyfriend told police he didn’t want to press charges, but the woman was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
