Bronson's MRI Replacement Brings Further Road Closures

The lanes of a Battle Creek road off of busy Beckley Rd. will be closed once again coming up on Friday.

The City of Battle Creek says that on Friday, Minges Creek Place at Beckley Rd. will have their southbound lanes closed, starting at 8am. The work is expected to wrap up at 5pm Friday, if the weather allows it.

With the southbound lanes closed, southbound traffic heading to the Helen Warner Branch of the Willard Library and other businesses will be diverted into the northbound left-turn lane instead.

This closure is needed as the Bronson Medical and Imaging on Beckley Rd. continues to remove their old MRI equipment; this work is what closed Minges Creek Place earlier this month as well.

The new MRI machine is yet to be installed, and that work will be done at a later, unspecified date.

While this closure takes place, the City of Battle Creek advises motorists to seek alternate routes.
