Four Arrested On Multiple Charges In Battle Creek

Four Battle Creek men were arrested late Friday night after police arrived to investigate a possible shooting.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that officers were called to Taft Ct. around 11pm Friday, after a shooting was reported. A car was seen leaving the area when officers arrived, so it was stopped, and the driver was found with a handgun. Searching the area for a possible shooting victim, officers instead found an apartment with three men inside, with drugs and a second pistol.

All four were arrested, one on weapons charges, two on drug charges, and the fourth on an outstanding warrant.

Police were unable to find anyone who had been shot, so investigators say that evidence doesn’t show that a shooting actually happened.
