Two Calhoun County Golf Courses Robbed Of Several Carts
Authorities in Calhoun County are attempting to track down whoever stole golf carts from golf courses this week.
The Michigan State Police and the Marshall Police Department are investigating a pair of thefts, the first of which happened overnight Monday at the Turtle Creek Golf Course in Burlington Township. Authorities say that suspects cut through a fence, damaged a golf cart and then stole three golf carts and their chargers; they believe the thieves loaded the vehicles onto a trailer. Then, overnight Tuesday, the Alwyn Downs Golf Course in Marshall had three golf carts stolen from them.
Both courses suffered around $17,000 in damages.
Investigators believe that these two incidents are related, due to the similar nature of the crimes. If you have any information, you’re asked to contact police or Silent Observer; it’s possible those with credible information could receive a reward.
