Here’s How Your Roof Sit Donations Help Haven Of Rest

Last year, 95.3 WBCK and The Edge 104.9, along with the family of staff at the Haven of Rest, listeners and advertisers, teamed up to raise over $60,000 to provide vital services for the hundreds of homeless women, children and families who stay at The Haven of Rest’s emergency shelter, known as Inasmuch House. This outpouring of community support provides a great deal of the funding that make these services possible.

Why Help? Why this particular event? We know there is no shortage of causes worthy of your support, and we understand that in these tough economic times, budgets are tight. Yet, somehow, this community’s generosity always seems to shine through. Join with us as we rally for two days, and celebrate the victory of the positive changes created at the Haven’s Inasmuch House in the lives of our area’s homeless!

The Haven’s family shelter, Inasmuch House, is the only emergency homeless shelter in Calhoun County that enables families and single women with children to stay together. Last year the Inasmuch House shelter provided over 10,000 bed nights and over 15,800 meals.
