Battle Creek Sewer Testing Might Cause Visible Smoke

The City of Battle Creek is warning residents in the Columbia Avenue/Lakeview area that they might see smoke on Wednesday.

The City says that starting at 9am Wednesday, sewer testing will be conducted in the area of Griffin Court and Foster Drive. The testing is being done to determine if the sewer system in that area is compromised. Some smoke could be visible in the area.

Smoke could enter homes in the area, but authorities say that the smoke isn't harmful to residents.
