Pennfield Road Upgrades Scheduled to Finish in 2017
Newly-elected Pennfield Township Supervisor Dave Morgan tells WBCK the township's schedule to address road upgrades is on-pace to finish in 2017. Pennfield voters passed a millage to fund road repairs, something that not every township or municipality finds easy to do.
"People are struggling," Morgan said. "Government's got to be extra careful on the money they spend."
In Emmett Township, a tax proposal to fund road repairs failed in August and November, 2016.
Emmett Township Supervisor Tim Hill vows to lobby Lansing in an attempt to pressure the state to include townships in Act 51 road repair allocations.
Morgan agrees.
"The state needs to step up...and help the townships more," he said.
