A 57 year-old Battle Creek man was arrested after a four-hour stand-off with police, around 4 PM Saturday afternoon.

Battle Creek City police were investigating a harassment complaint, in the 100 block of Seivour Avenue., and came in contact with the man who was standing on his front porch. He threatened to kill them and retreated into his house. The officers believed that the suspect was armed and alerted the Battle Creek Emergency Response Team. The suspect held police at bay for four-hours before surrendering without incident.

He is being held at the Calhoun County Jail on numerous charges.
