Potawatomi 2018 Pow Wow is This Weekend, June 23 and 24
The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) annual Pow Wow is this Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, at the Pine Creek Indian Reservation in Fulton, Michigan.
What’s a Pow Wow?
The NHBP Pow Wow continues to be the only Pow Wow within Calhoun County and one of the largest in West Michigan. Every year dances, songs, drums, and crafts are united to create a large cultural gathering which brings about public awareness to a traditional native lifestyle.
NHBP plans to again offer a social media booth, welcoming all Pow Wow attendees to interact with NHBP on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Businesses and community organizations are invited to participate in the annual Pine Creek Parade of Cheers to help kick-off the weekend’s Pow Wow events. The parade will be held Saturday, June 23, at 11 a.m. Native vendors are also welcomed at NHBP’s annual Pow Wow.
