Two suspects are being sought by Calhoun County authorities after an armed robbery in Springfield early Wednesday.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that two men entered the store in the 800 block of W. Michigan Wednesday and pulled out guns to begin threatening the clerk. Reportedly, they assaulted the clerk and threatened to kill him if he did not provide all the cash in the store.

The clerk complied, and also was tied up and had his wallet and personal items stolen, before the suspects fled the scene with thousands of dollars in cash. One suspect was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and a dayglo yellow work vest, while the other man wore all blue; both men had their faces covered.

The Sheriff’s Office says a K-9 track turned up nothing.
