Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Albion

A pick-up truck was reported stolen in Homer Township, shortly before noon, Thursday morning.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 7000 block of 29 Mile Road. Later in the afternoon, around 3:25 PM, the person reporting the theft observed the stolen truck being driven towards the City of Albion. They alerted authorities who located the vehicle and pursued it to an alley in the 200 block of North Huron Street where the suspect ditched and ran. A K-9 team was brought in, but without any results in locating the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white, middle-aged male with short blonde hair wearing a blue t-shirt with small white lettering all over it.

The vehicle was processed for evidence and was released back to the owner and the case remains under investigation.
