Two suspects were captured, following a lengthy car chase through Calhoun County, which began around 9:45 am, Friday morning.

Calhoun County Sheriff Steve Hinkley announced an arrest warrant for the murder of 25-year-old Alison Sargent.

A pickup truck struck another vehicle from behind after it failed to stop, as the road was blocked by a tree and a fire truck.

The officer reported the shooting Thursday morning, which happened at his apartment in the 1100 block of E. Michigan Ave. The officer had been alone in his apartment, and the gun was his, but it wasn’t his service weapon.
