This Is Really Wrong!

Now imagine this: A new mother kills her newborn baby in a northern Michigan campground by striking the newborn in the head and fracturing the baby's skull.

Mom receives a prison sentence of 2 years and 5 months.

Now let us compare that to the following:

A Florida man is convicted of fondling and raping his 8-month-old puppy, and he receives a sentence of 5 years in a state prison.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with that scenario?

What has our society come to that we value a puppy more than a newborn in a scenario like the one I just presented to you?
