More information is coming out surrounding the death of a Battle Creek man found in a car’s trunk.

According to WWMT, the Battle Creek Police say on Tuesday that they initially thought 43-year-old Diabulo White had been killed via a gunshot, but they now say it appears he suffered blunt force trauma leading to his death; an autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning and full results are pending.

Court records show that a person of interest in White’s death, 48-year-old Marko McGee, was arraigned Tuesday on unrelated drug and traffic charges. Authorities say it’s possible he will be charged Wednesday in connection to this homicide case.

White’s body was found Monday morning, in the trunk of a car that was towed to Tiger’s Towing on Kendall St. A Silent Observer tip that same day led authorities to McGee’s home on Somerset Ave. in Battle Creek, and they arrested him after a short foot chase; his residence was also searched after a warrant was obtained.
