The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, once again, responded to a call of a stolen vehicle near Albion. This time, the victims had a video of the suspect on the property, and the suspect matched the description of a suspect of a car theft, outside of Albion, the day before. The suspected thief was identified as a person that was tethered and on probation. Authorities then tracked the tethering records which showed that the suspect just happened to be on both residences at the time of the thefts.

The newly stolen vehicle was discovered by Albion Public Safety, off from Michigan Avenue in the City of Albion. When officers approached, the suspect ran from the vehicle. A perimeter was established and a K-9 team was brought in to track the suspect. He was located in a shed within the perimeter and was arrested on charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Resisting and Obstructing.

Calhoun County Sheriff Deputies were assisted by Albion Public Safety and Albion College Campus Security.
