"Saturday" came to visit us at 95.3 WBCK, and we hit it off pretty fast.  She's probably four or five years old, and as you can see, she's a very pretty cat.   A few Saturday's ago, a woman came to the Humane Society Shelter on Watkins Road, dropped off this sweet cat in the lobby, turned around and marched off.   Sad.

She's front declawed, with a relatively short tail, and a beautiful coat.  She purrs right away, once she's out of her carrier, and loves attention.  She also has the ability to stand up on her hind legs, just like a curious prairie dog.

Jessica Gilbert of the Humane Society says "Saturday" doesn't get along too well with other cats, so she's being isolated in the basement at the shelter.  She also might not play nice with dogs and young children.  Jessica says that's common in cats who have been declawed. With their defense mechanism removed, they sometimes will bite.

But "Saturday" or whatever you'd like to call her, would make a fantastic cat in a low-key household.  She loves to snuggle up and watch TV.
