Woman In Critical Condition After Falling From Van

A 41 year-old Battle Creek woman is in very critical condition after allegedly falling from a moving vehicle in the 900 block of East Michigan Avenue, Friday afternoon.

Jodi Thompson was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Witnesses say that Thompson fell from the passenger side of a white Chevrolet Venture van that failed to stop and continued westbound on East Michigan Avenue. The van was later located by Battle Creek police and a Battle Creek man was interviewed by detectives.

The incident is still under investigation and any witnesses are asked to call the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety or Silent Observer.

UPDATE: Relatives have informed the media that Jodi Thompson has passed-away from the injuries sustained from the fall from the moving van.
