Battle Creek Man Arrested For Drugs & Stolen Firearm
A Battle Creek man was arrested for multiple charges for narcotics and a stolen fire arm.
At approximately 2:24 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, a deputy with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on I-94 near mile marker 115 in Marengo Township. After interacting with the driver, the 58 year old Battle Creek man was found to be under the influence of narcotics. Further investigation led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, methamphetamine and a stolen firearm in the vehicle.
The driver was lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple charges, including Driving while Intoxicated, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession Methamphetamine, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated.
The investigation is ongoing.
