‘Extremely High And Violent’ Suspect Arrested After Bedford Township Home Invasion
A man who police say was under the influence was arrested early Wednesday morning after a home invasion in Battle Creek.
The Battle Creek Police Department says that according to the victims, a man entered a home on Riviera Dr. in Bedford Township around 4:30am Wednesday, while the residents were sleeping. The man allegedly smashed up a large TV and an expensive guitar among many other items, before chasing the homeowners outside.
Several officers and K-9 units responded and entered the home, eventually finding the home invasion suspect hiding in a bedroom and taking him into custody.
The suspect, described as “extremely high and violent” by police, will be facing multiple felony charges. He's currently lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
