Fire Damages KFC Restaurant In Pennfield

A short but intense fire has put the KFC restaurant on Capital Avenue in Pennfield out of action for a while.  The fire was first reported a little before 5 yesterday. Three fire departments responded to the blaze. Flames were leaping 10-15 feet from the roof for a while. A portion of the restaurant roof has collapsed. No word yet how it got started. None was reported hurt.
