Two Battle Creek men were arrested over the weekend in connection to a string of burglaries.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says Wednesday that around 3:00 a.m. October 14, deputies were called to M-66 Bowl in Pennfield after the alarm went off; a vehicle was located fleeing the scene shortly afterwards, and inside, two Battle Creek men aged 31 and 49-years-old were arrested for burglary.

After the arrest, investigators were able to determine that the 31-year-old suspect was also connected to burglaries at Lafayette Auto Parts in Springfield, Moonraker Restaurant in Emmett Township, and a coin operated machine at Cornwell's Turkey Farm. Authorities say it appears the suspect would break into a business with a sledgehammer and steal from coin vending machines.

Charges are expected to be filed soon.
