Bearcat teams route Portage Northern

The two top teams in the South Central Athletic Association's West Division squared off in a rematch from early January in a game that got out of hand early.

After a successful run through our first-ever "Listener Choice" poll in January, another opportunity has arrived to vote on our Game of the Night broadcast in February.

The Harper Creek Beavers have played well since the calendar flipped to 2020. A 4-3 record in the month of January still wasn't enough to make it into the top half of the Interstate 8.

It was the first busy night of basketball on the High School hardwood for February as several teams are beginning to jockey for position with just over a month remaining before districts.

Almost every season, the rivalry between Battle Creek Central and Lakeview brings something new to the basketball history between the two schools.

For the first time in a decade, our Game of the Night took us to the friendly confines of Calhoun Christian after the listeners chose where to go two weeks ago.

The Lakeview Spartans and Gull Lake Blue Devils rivalry continued Friday with the two teams jockeying for position in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference's East Division.

It has been a friendly rivalry between the St. Philip Fighting Tigers and the Calhoun Christian Cougars on the hardwood, especially since several student-athletes share time with each school in athletics co-op programs.
